The Pleasures of Slowing Down by Dj Magyar / Ayabassca on Mixcloud

It was one of those days that the sun was out the entire day, but it was foggy inside. Inside my apartment from smoking too much and inside my heart from things on my mind. I like to clear things up by listening to some tunes, and late in the night I started composing this mixtape, and finally put it out on my Mixcloud by 4AM in the morning.

I included a wide selection of styles, from experimental jazzy/classical compositions (Kayo Dot, Nils Petter Molvaer, Bar Kokhba Sextet), via some electronic, triphoppy stuff (Massive Attack, Apollo 440, Fujiya And Miyagi) to some atmospheric dub and folk tunes.

Step back and slow down!

Peru’s pride in the seventies: El Polen, a folk/rock/pop/fusion band which became famous in 1972 for their hippie sounds. Apparently they didn’t sell that much at that time, or their sounds weren’t recognised during the seventies since you pay 100 dollars on eBay for a LP. Maybe the local folks just couldn’t afford a turntables an LP’s at that time, witch results in shortage 40 years later.

Whatever, this pride is bringing Chong-x to a Moombahton masterpiece, he remixed “Valicha” recently and the result is, compared to the original not very surprising. But compared to other Moombahton songs at this time the song is very inspiring. Bringing an entire new genre to the rapidly growing Moombahton movement.
